This LED profile is IP20-rated; therefore, it’s only suitable for indoor applications. It should be installed in rooms where water is less likely present, including the dining room, bedroom, hallways, living room, storage room, wardrobes, etc. 

If you enclose a strip light in an LED profile, will it make it water-resistant? Well, that depends on the IP rating. If your LED profile has an IP20 rating and you use an IP20-rated strip light, no, it will not be waterproof because the profile and strip light are both non-waterproof. However, if you use an IP65-rated strip light, even if the LED profile is IP20, you can install it in places where water is present. It’s more critical for the strip light to be water-resistant than the profile.
